Once upon a time...

Ironically, mine & Hopper's paths have been crossing since we were little kids. My family grew up being family friends with Hopper's neighbor. We grew up hanging out and playing in the same cove with the same kids. But it wasn't until Hopper was in 7th grade & I was in 6th grade (we were babies) that we became friends at our middle school, Briarcrest. Also, Hopper & I were in the same church youth group. Hopper would "stalk" me in the BCMS hallways, chant my name in front of everyone during pep rallies and football games, & text me everyday with someone else's phone (because he was always grounded from his own due to grades). At one point we had a "best friend" handshake, as per usual for middle school flirts. One day, Hopper wrote "I ❤️ Chandler" on a desk in one of my favorite teacher's classroom. The teacher called me out for it, but then realized it would have been silly for me to write that I love myself. That was when the teacher and I both realized that the last group of people in his class was the football team. It did not take me too long after that to put two and two together on who wrote the love note! This all happened before we were even dating.

Even through all of the stalking, chanting, note writing, and texting, he still won my heart over & asked me to officially be his "girlfriend" (at age 12 & 13) after Sunday school in Grace Evan on May 24, 2009. He stole my heart at a young age & has kept it ever since.

These are a few of my favorite things:
1. Our first date was at Chili's with my mom (we're the three best friends that anyone could have)
2. Our first kiss was on my 13th birthday and he asked my parents for permission... and then he asked me for permission (such a gentleman)
3. On our first official car date, when he first got his driver's license, we went to Genghis Grill and got lost along the way
