Saying Yes To The Dress

When deciding on where to look for my wedding dress, Maggie Louise was the first place that came to mind. I had watched so many friends go there & fall in love instantly. While reflecting on my experience with Maggie Louise, the only word that comes to mind is magical. Their whole crew is so friendly, personable, professional & lovely to deal with.
My appointment with Maggie Louise was on June 23, 2018. Prior to meeting with Maggie Louise & their crew, Carolyn (one of my bridal stylists) called me & got to know me (& Hopper) via our phone interview. During this phone call, I was able to tell Carolyn my likes & dislikes. However, there wasn't much to say about my likes & dislikes because I told her I wanted to come in with a completely open mind. She was thrilled that I was so willing to try anything & that I was giving her the opportunity to put her creative eye to work.
On the morning of June 23rd, the good Lord decided to shower Memphis with a lot of rain, gusty winds, & lightning. While Maggie Louise is not too far away from my home, we had to drive to go pick up my great grandmother who lives about 20 minutes in the opposite direction. While driving to get my Grandma Holman, my mom, my sister, & I saw our lives flash before our eyes many times... joking.. maybe. Anyways, after some scary travels, we were able to safely pick up Grandma Holman & make it to Maggie Louise on time for our appointment.
While arriving at Maggie Louise, we were greeted with warm hugs, smiles, & cookies. The crew also offered us some lovely cold bubbly. While my crew ate cookies & drank their champagne, I was so nervous I could only squeeze one sip in before I began trying on all of the dresses that Carolyn & Molly (the owner of ML) had hand selected for me. While trying on dress after dress, I was able to talk with Carolyn & Molly during the in between time & I was given the opportunity to truly get to know each of them on such a personal level. They are some of the sweetest gals I have ever gotten the opportunity to work with.
The entire Maggie Louise experience was so incredible. Maggie Louise has the perfect set up & the total bridal dress shop feel in every way possible. My crew (Mom, Taylor, Grandma Holman, Heather, & McKenna... we were missing Mickenzie 😢) were able to sit comfortably on ML's beautiful white furniture while I tried on dress after dress.
It was refreshing to get multiple opinions from people who truly had my best interest at heart. After trying on many different types of gowns, which were all truly beautiful, it became very obvious which dress was THE dress. Not only did I feel incredibly enchanting & wonderful & everything else bridal, but I could tell in my crew's eyes that this dress was the one. Every dress I tried on felt & looked amazing to me, mostly because I have never put a wedding dress on, but also because ML had such a beautiful collection. However, MY dress made my heart flutter. My dress is perfect to me in every way. I loved the dress as it was originally, but with the help of Carolyn & Molly, I was able to customize my dress & add special "Chandler" touches that made it my dream dress. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle to Hopper in my happily ever after dress.
