After getting engaged, our friends & family went above and beyond to shower us with love, gifts, and parties! Hopper & I felt so blessed to be surrounded by people who love to celebrate US. #UhHuhHoney
The Echols, Newbys, Pooles, Scotts, & Woffords are all dear family friends of mine & Hopper. For our first shower, the matriarch of each family got together & planned a tool man's dream party in the home of Bobby and Sharon Wofford on February 16, 2019. This shower was the "Honey-Do" shower.
We were greeted with his & her gardening wreaths, a wheel barrel full of gifts and so much more.
The night was filled with extravagant food, drinks, decorations, friends, family, laughter & gifts. An open bar with the best wine, liquor and beer quenched everyone's thirst as they gathered in to shower us (mostly Hopper 😉) with some of Amazon, Lowe's and Home Depot's finest merchandise.
Hopper's Honey-Do List (first image placed at the beginning) served as the perfect backdrop throughout the entire night. It not only touched everyone's heart, but also gave us a laugh! ALSO- that sign was HANDWRITTEN... talk about dedication and a lot of love on the hostess's part ❤️ #WeAreBlessed
Throughout the night, the hosts were giving each guest a wooden spoon and ruler to write down some advice for me & Hopper. The wooden spoon held pearls of knowledge for me while the wooden ruler held words of wisdom for Hopper. Mine & Hopper's words of wisdom were mostly heartfelt and sincere, however, there were a few that made this bride to be (at the time) BLUSH! 😳😘 Talk about becoming a blushing bride...
All joking aside, this night truly exemplified to us as a couple how loved and supported we are as we take the next step in our lengthy relationship and enter the utter bliss of marriage. We cannot thank our hosts, friends and family enough for celebrating us in the most creative and handy man-ish way! We love y'all! Uh huh honey!
A few pearls of knowledge given to this bride:
1. Don't be afraid to say I'm sorry first.
2. Make Sunday brunch reservations 1 week out, so that you can talk to the reservation specialist. (LOL!)
3. Will it matter one year from now?...then forget it.
4. Never go to bed mad.
5. It's okay to tell your husband he is acting like an idiot.
A few words of wisdom given to the groom:
1. Don't talk to her until she has had breakfast and coffee.
2. Never laugh at her choices, you are one of them!
3. No matter how logical you are, you're still wrong.
4. SPOIL HER!
5. Marriage is a workshop... Hopper works, Chandler shops!
