will you be my bridesmaid?

One of the most enjoyable things I have done thus far is put together my bridesmaid proposal boxes. While assembling these little boxes of happiness, I tried my very best to make it all things that the girls would actually want & use (for the most part.) I wanted these boxes to be unforgettable. I didn't fully know what I wanted in these boxes at first, but one thing that I did know is that I wanted P I N K.

1. Celebratory Champagne Flutes
This item was actually the first one that I found for the boxes. While shopping around at Hobby Lobby, I came across the cutest champagne flute glasses. Each glass had a cursive gold foil word like "sparkle" or "celebrate." ALSO, the glasses were labeled as dishwasher proof, which is always a win in my book.
2. Stella Rosa Stella Pink Wine
The cutesy champagne flute finds led to my determination in finding a pretty pink wine or champagne bottle. My mom & I tried bottle after bottle of "pretty pink" bottles of wine & champagne. We felt defeated... & a little tipsy! We were struggling to find a pink, pretty & sweet bottle of wine. However, while visiting my sister in Dallas, we saw the cutest miniature Stella Rosa pink bottles... I just had to have them! I immediately had my fiancé call up his friend that works with a local liquor store to order me a case!
3. Oh Happy Day Canvas
I wanted my girls to have a sentimental take away from this bridesmaid proposal. Given that my mom is one of my very best friends in life, most of my friends are besties with her too. My mom spent lots of time painting each girl an "Oh Happy Day" canvas. The canvas itself was SUPER CUTE, but the fact that it came from Kimi T made it even more special. So many of my bridesmaids loved the "❤︎ Kimi T" on the back of their canvases & said that it brought so much more meaning to the gift!
4. Big Obnoxious Diamond Ring Bangle
While this item isn't something that the girls will use again, I just had to include it. I am not going to lie... I totally got this idea from a sweet friend, Olivia, who is also one of my bridesmaids. Livi is like a second older sister to me & got married a year ago in July. Livi had these ginormous diamond ring bangles all over her engagement party & in our bridesmaid proposal gift bags. I loved the idea of it so much, that I had to copy!
5. Anthropologie Candle
My mom & I both wanted to include something fragrant, which led us to candles...duh. In our opinion, Anthropologie has the best candles. However, they can be a little pricey, especially when you're buying 15! BUT, during the time that I was purchasing all of the bridesmaid goodies, Anthro was having a 20% off sale, which made the good idea become a reality. We were so excited to include this item in the box!
6. Personalized Card
Just like every basic bride, while searching for the best gifts for my bridesmaids, I frequented Etsy. While scrolling through Etsy, I came across the cutest personalized "Will you be my bridesmaid?" cards. These cards were probably my most proud find for these proposal boxes.
7. The Box
While finding all of my goodies, I had no idea what I was going to put it all in. My mom & I had searched high & low for something cute & big enough, but had no luck. It wasn't until one random late night Amazon scroll that I found my boxes for what I thought was a steal compared to the other prices I had been seeing! These boxes completed my bridesmaid proposals. Ironically, it was the last item I found, yet one of the most important items that I needed.

While planning out all of my bridesmaids boxes, I had to take a few things into consideration, which led to alternative gifts for different girls. For example, one of my bridesmaids was still in high school at the time of asking her to be in the wedding, so it would not be ethical to give her a wine bottle. Her wine bottle was replaced with an aluminum Coke bottle (her fav soda & a sentimental Tillman family bottle). Also, a different bridesmaid was pregnant when I asked her to be in the wedding, so she didn't really need a wine bottle & wine glass either. Her wine related items were replaced with baby toys.
For my maid of honor, aka, my big sister, I gave her a few different items as well. Obviously, her box said "Will you be my maid of honor?" & so did her personalized card. PLUS, I included a personalized bangle in her box that I know she'll keep & wear forever.
I wanted each girl to feel loved. Each of my bridesmaids hold a special place in my heart & these proposal boxes are representing just a small token of my gratitude for each of these lovely ladies.
xoxo
